This is my latest drawing in my line of concentrations, I used my own hand as a reference for the one in the drawing, and the picture of the ballerina as the reference for the winged little person. I still need to finish it, I have only the rest of the body to complete. I like the way it is turning out. If I came to school more often it would probably be finished by now, but being that I miss every other day in class I fall behind in my work schedule. But this is my last project I will be able to finish in school, I'm hoping to rush and get it done before school ends. I don't want to push out halfassed projects just for the sake of getting a grade so I choose to make somthing meaningful and work on something that I actually enjoy.

Second concentration
This is my first concentration piece. It is just a basic piece done on tinted paper, with chalk pastels used as the main medium. It was a good piece I think. It might have been rushed a lil bit. So if I could redo it again I would take my time to make it better. I like the water ripples I put on it. But if I could I would try it again.

Finished ballerina
Just finished this piece, it was inspired by Edgar degas. It was done in oil pastels, it was originally going to be a cut paper piece but upon consolation with mrs.thomson I was advised to let this leave as a stand alone piece, so as I was told I did. And I'm glad that I did it was successful. I am looking to do more pieces like this one in my next line of concentrations.

Ballerina
I started up a draft for this ballerina.... it is going to be on top of water as if it were dancing on it, it's going to be done in cut art, which is where it will be cut out and draw on to look like the ballerina but the different pieces of paper will be lifted up to give depth in some natural shadows of the ballerina. Inspiration came from a random painting I found while scrolling though Pinterest, and upon doing so I decided to look up an older artist that painted ballerinas. The first one to mind is Degas. I am going to do this piece in pastels also and not worry so much on the lighting, but putting my attention into the detail of the form and shape of the ballerina.

Project idea
This is the sketch for my cut out/figure piece . I have not started the piece yet on actually paper outside of my sketch book. The dancer is going to be on top of water so when I make her I will put ripples of waves at the bottom, I am also going to use pastel as the medium for the piece. I should look cool and give great contrast. My idea for this comes from degas pastel painting of a ballerina but because I am using cut out paper to build up the ballerina so that she pops off the page it makes it my own piece.

My sister is finished
This is my peice of my sister that is finished and has been sprayed to finish. I enjoyed making this peice, if I had to make another one I would make it lighter because after getting sprayed it darkened.... overall I do like the darker touch to it, but I would just like to see what it would look like if it were to be a lighter shade then it was sprayed.

Little kid value project
This is my value project. I like the attempt at it, personally I don't like the way the hair looks. I am not really good at doing hair but I think I captured the way the hand looked. I did end up cutting off the left side of the head where the hair on the head was the worst. I would like to try and redo this piece with a little more patience and a better understanding of how to do hair. Overall I like this piece and then he contrast between the dark darks and the lights in the hair where the light reflects off the back of the head.
